More about me
Though I was raised in Iowa, I am deeply proud to call Minneapolis, Minnesota home. I graduated from the College of Saint Benedict, an all-women’s college in rural Minnesota, and earned a graduate degree in Organizational Leadership, Policy, and Development from the University of Minnesota. I am a life-long learner and endlessly curious. While I have spent most of my career at various non-profits, including education and LGBTQIA+ advocacy, Canopy’s mission is something I have cared about my entire life. When not behind a computer screen dreaming up new ways to streamline processes and engage effectively cross-functionally, you can find me taking walks along the river, trying a new coffee shop, or cozied up with a book.
Why forests are important to me
Growing up I was fortunate enough to road trip to U.S. national parks almost every summer. The wilderness, particularly forests, shaped my childhood and understanding of the world. Forests are wild and free and beautiful — weaving life on earth together.
Why Canopy
Canopy is led by and full of strategic doers. Pals don’t just talk about what needs to be done they act upon it efficiently and effectively. Being on a team who combines deep care for our forests with actually taking action every hour of every day is a true honor.

What ruffles my feathers
Talking in circles about something without taking action.
lynx! Not only because the Lynx are my favorite team…but Lynx are patient, agile, and adaptable. Like Lynx, I stay nimble as a strategic operator.
