Ready to be in effect for the 2027 Hot Button, the criteria have been streamlined from seven categories to five and put greater emphasis on Next Gen uptake, traceability, and landscape-level conservation, while recognising the varied capabilities of different sized producers. 

The updated framework also introduces clearer goals and expectations and a simpler three-colour rating system, helping producers understand what is expected and brands make informed purchasing decisions.
