Alissa is deeply committed to addressing the social and environmental challenges facing our communities and planet. Known for her creative and strategic thinking, Alissa has spent two decades in the nonprofit sector building the systems and teams that bring big ideas to life.
Alissa earned an MBA from the executive program at NYU Stern School of Business, specializing in both Strategy and Sustainable Business & Innovation. She also holds an MA in Education from Loyola Marymount University, and a BA in Psychology and Latin American & Caribbean Studies from the University of Michigan.
At Canopy, Alissa ensures Canopals are rowing in the same direction to transform unsustainable supply chains and promote forest conservation and community rights.

I live in Brooklyn, NY with my wife, children, and a rescue pup named Ada Twist Scientist. On weekends, you can find all of us at the Prospect Park farmer’s market visiting my brother’s flower stand.
