Canopy asked authors, Margaret Atwood, Terry Fallis, Suzanne Buffam, John Valliant, Laura Trunkey, Madeleine Thein, Karen Solie, Emma Donoghue, Andrew Pyper, and Ann-Marie MacDonald to play a game of exquisite corpse to write about Vancouver Island's last remaining ancient forests. In these videos writers Terry Fallis, Madeleine Thien, Andrew Pyper and John Valliant talk about what drew them to the project and what it was like to collaborate on the story they created. They are joined by Canopy's Executive Director Nicole Rycroft, who talks about our work on Vancouver Island.
