As our India Corporate Campaigner – aka “Banyan Bridge Builder”, you’ll play a key role in engaging Indian brands, advancing alternative fiber solutions, and catalyzing the transition toward circular textiles and packaging.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Brand & Industry Engagement 

  • Collaborate with Pack4Good and CanopyStyle Corporate Campaigners to develop Canopy policies with Indian brands. 
  • Work with the global Next Generation team to accelerate circular textiles and alternative fiber adoption in India. 
  • Build partnerships and oversee foundational research projects to drive innovation in Next Gen materials. 

Event Coordination & Advocacy 

  • Plan and execute Canopy-hosted workshops, forums, and industry events in India. 
  • Represent Canopy at external conferences, panel discussions, and trade shows to expand our influence. 
  • Work with our Communications team to amplify awareness and impact. 

Strategic Execution 

  • Support the implementation of Canopy’s India strategy, engaging key stakeholders to drive measurable change. 
  • Collaborate with local partners to ensure alignment with global sustainability goals.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • 5-7 years of experience in sustainability, corporate engagement, policy advocacy, or a related field. 
  • A solid understanding of sustainable materials, circular economy principles, and the Indian market. 
  • Experience working with brands or industry players in textiles or paper packaging. 
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective, impactful campaign strategies. 
  • A knack for managing projects, fostering partnerships, and driving real-world impact. 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to craft compelling business cases. 
  • Excellent communication skills—you can inspire action and translate complex ideas for different audiences.  
  • Strong facilitation skills. 
  • Self-motivation, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment. 
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for industry events and stakeholder meetings. 
  • A good sense of humour and an imperative to have fun! 
  • Skilled at representing their NGO at external forums. 
  • Good negotiation and advocacy skills. 
  • Experienced in project management programs and practices.
