Risk of sourcing from Ancient and Endangered forests

Audit in Progress

Jiangsu Huasaier proactively reached out to Canopy in early 2025. They participated in a CanopyStyle Audit training and adopted a CanopyStyle policy in 2025 and are currently undergoing an audit.

Areas where the company is showing leadership

  • Publish CanopyStyle policy and list of suppliers on website.
  • Conduct and complete a CanopyStyle Audit to verify suppliers and confirm risk of sourcing from Ancient and Endangered Forests and other controversial sources.
  • Use ForestMapper and complementary guidance documents to ensure that all current and any new suppliers are not sourcing from Ancient and Endangered Forests.
  • Following auditing, Jiangsu Huasaier can address any sourcing issues that are identified and progress on remaining sustainability steps, such as supporting conservation solutions and driving the use of Next Generation fibres.

Jiangsu Huasaier New Material Technology Co., Ltd. produces lyocell in its one facility located in Peixian Economic Development Zone, Jiangsu province, China, with a capacity of 60,000 tonnes per year. The company was earlier known as Jiangsu Jinrongtai Technology Co., Ltd.
