Risk of sourcing from Ancient and Endangered forests

Audit in Progress

DP Acetate proactively reached out to Canopy in early 2025. They participated in a CanopyStyle Audit training and adopted a CanopyStyle policy in 2025 and are currently undergoing an audit.

Areas where the company is showing leadership

  • Publish CanopyStyle policy and list of suppliers on website.
  • Complete a CanopyStyle Audit to verify suppliers and confirm risk of sourcing from Ancient and Endangered Forests and other controversial sources.
  • Use ForestMapper and complementary guidance documents to ensure that all current and any new suppliers are not sourcing from Ancient and Endangered Forests.
  • Following audit, DP Acetate can address any sourcing issues that are identified and progress on remaining sustainability steps, such as supporting conservation solutions and driving the use of Next Generation fibres.

UAP DP Acetate produces acetate filament yarn in its one mill located in Kaunas, Lithuania, at a capacity of about 7000 tonnes per year.
