Packaging Prototypes From Agricultural Fibres
Discover Innovative Paper and Packaging Made from Agricultural Fibres

We are proud to present a curated collection of paper and packaging and sheet samples developed in collaboration with the Sustainable and Alternative Fibers Initiative (SAFI) at North Carolina State University—a leading global research initiative dedicated to advancing and promoting innovative fibres for the paper and pulp industry.
The paper and packaging samples in this sample binder are developed using agricultural by-products and fibres instead of forest fibres. These innovative alternatives to wood-based fibre demonstrate how packaging producers and mills can diversify their fibre baskets, reduce reliance on forest-based inputs, and embrace cutting-edge materials that help future-proof supply chains. By shifting towards agricultural fibre solutions, companies not only unlock new opportunities for resilience and innovation but also avoid the reputational, operational, and financial risks.
