Nanjing Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd prides itself on its environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility policies. Nanjing’s CanopyStyle Audit was completed in September 2021.

Key audit findings include:

-Nanjing’s is sourcing pulp from one supplier with known risk as well as one supplier with potential risk. The company has made a commitment and policy on responsible sourcing, organized training to staff and assigned the supply department for the implementation of the policy;
-南京化纤的一家浆粕供应商有明确的采购风险，另一家有潜在采购风险。公司已制定负责任采购的政策，为员工提供培训，要求采购部切实执行该采购政策。

-The company has addressed some risks posed by suppliers and begun to take action.

Canopy recommends that Nanjing:

- Continue to address or eliminate known and potential risk associated with potential and known-risk suppliers;
- 继续解除或淘汰已知和潜在的采购风险。

- Become FSC Chain of Custody certified and increase the amount of FSC certified fiber used
- 获取FSC COC认证，提高FSC认证材料的使用量。

- Adopt a plan and targets for the use of Next Generation alternative fibres in a commercially competitive way, and developing and implementing an internal action plan to achieve this.
- 设定下一代纤维研发的规划和目标，并保障相应产品具有商业竞争力；在公司内部制定并实施行动方案，旨在完成该目标。

About Nanjing Chemical Fibre
Nanjing Chemical Fibre Co., Ltd. was established in 1964. The company was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in March 1996. The company is mainly engaged in the production and operation of viscose staple fibre and urban ecological water replenishment. The current capacity of viscose staple fibre is 100,000 tons/year. Lyocell production with annual output of 4000 tons is under construction. The controlling shareholder of the company is Nanjing Xiongong Investment Group, and the final actual controller is the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government. Both Nanjing Golden Antelope Biobased Fibre Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Jinling Cellulose Fiber Co., Ltd. are wholly-owned subsidiaries of the company.
