Last week, Canopy’s Fashion Team was on the ground in Amsterdam for the Innovation Forum: Sustainable Apparel and Textiles Conference, where leaders from across the fashion value chain came together to tackle some of the industry’s most urgent challenges — and explore exciting opportunities.

In packed sessions on de-risking sourcing strategies, improving material traceability, and scaling circular innovation, a clear throughline emerged: the future of fashion depends on bold action, collaborative leadership, and accelerating the shift away from extractive supply chains.

Canopy’s message was simple and resonant: vital forest-free Next Gen materials are ready to scale, and leading brands have a pivotal role to play in unlocking that future. From agricultural residues to recycled textiles, these game changing innovations offer lower-impact, low-carbon solutions that meet both climate and regulatory targets and evolving consumer expectations.

From regenerative sourcing to biodiversity protection and scaling circularity, the agenda reflected a growing industry alignment with the solutions Canopy, and our partners, have long championed — and the momentum is building. The challenge now is to meet this moment with the speed and scale it demands.

The Canopy team also took the opportunity to meet with leading CanopyStyle partners, including PVH’s Tommy Hilfiger and G-STAR . They discussed the exciting progress these long-term partners have made on MMCFs and opportunities for further collaboration around the protection of Ancient and Endangered Forests and scaling Next Gen.

The path forward is clear — and we’re walking it, side by side with our partners.
