In June, world-renowned photographer Edward Burtynsky joined Canopy’s Founder and Executive Director Nicole Rycroft for Canopy’s most recent Tree Talks event. The discussion conducted via Zoom, explored the impact of humanity’s ‘progress’ and what a sustainable path forward to protect both people and the planet looks like. The lively discussion also featured some of the iconic photographs featured in Burtynsky’s latest work, an immersive event called In the Wake of Progress

Canopy’s Tree Talks series brings timely discourse from scientists, artists, and thinkers on forests, climate, and justice directly to our online community.
