We’re delighted to welcome L’Oréal Groupe — the world’s largest beauty company — to Canopy’s Pack4Good initiative. By adding its voice and leadership to a growing movement advancing more sustainable paper packaging supply chains, L’Oréal proves that the best beauty routines can go hand in hand with protecting our planet’s forests.
Pack4Good brings together brands committed to eliminating the risk of deforestation and forest degradation in their paper packaging, including impacts on Ancient and Endangered Forests. By joining the initiative, L’Oréal Groupe is contributing to collective efforts to build supply chains that are more transparent, lower risk, and aligned with forest conservation.
This milestone signals a meaningful shift for the beauty sector, raising the bar for stronger due diligence and responsible sourcing of forest-based materials in paper packaging.
The commitment also aligns with L’Oréal Groupe’s broader sustainability ambitions across climate, water, biodiversity, and resource use.
“At L’Oréal Groupe, our transformation is grounded in purpose and action at every stage of our value chain,” said Céline Bomo-Leducq, Global Sustainable Sourcing Director at L’Oréal Groupe. “In line with our L’Oréal for the Future commitments, joining Pack4Good is a natural step in our sustainability journey. As a global leader, we believe in the importance of protecting the planet’s beauty through more circular and sustainable innovations, including the materials we use to package our products.”

Through Pack4Good, participating companies work toward key environmental pillars, including: •
- Increasing transparency and due diligence to mitigate supply chain risks
- Ensuring paper packaging does not contain materials sourced from Ancient and Endangered Forests
- Maximizing recycled content
- Advancing Next Generation materials — such as agricultural residues and other alternative fibres — to help scale lower-impact, forest-free and circular innovations
- Promoting forest conservation and respect for Indigenous and community rights
“We are thrilled to welcome L’Oréal Groupe to the Pack4Good movement,” said Nicole Rycroft, Founder and Executive Director of Canopy. “L’Oreal Groupe is a giant in their sector and looked to as a pacesetter. Working with them, alongside other global partners, will accelerate the shift toward more resilient, low-carbon paper packaging supply chains.”
Pack4Good now brings together 566 brands representing more than 448 billion USD in annual revenue — demonstrating cross-industry momentum toward responsible sourcing and innovation.
As more companies step forward, the opportunity expands to reshape how packaging is made — reducing pressure on vital forests while scaling circular, lower-impact solutions.
We look forward to collaborating with L’Oréal Groupe and our broader network of partners to help keep the world’s forests standing.
