Canada's Boreal Forest
Over 700 publishers and printers collaborate with Canopy to provide their readers with greener paper for publications, such as the one you’re holding.
That’s why we’re working together to protect the Boreal Forest.
More than half of all Canadian logging occurs in the Boreal, making it a major source for pulp and paper.
The Boreal is also home to some of the world’s largest remaining pristine forests and contains eighty percent of the world’s freshwater.
We need to decide what to leave before we decide what to take. The availability of green forest products from the Boreal depends on it.

We are refocusing our Boreal efforts to secure protection for the most endangered areas in our Boreal as we push to attain the level of protection needed to keep our Boreal, species and climate healthy. After 3 years of process, with no new protected areas resulting, Canopy has left the Canadian Boreal Forest Agreement. Find out more: click here.
