That's right, now you can choose straw paper for all of your own printing needs. 

Step Forward straw copy paper is now available in Staples stores across Canada and at Staples.ca.

It's produced by our friends at Prairie Pulp & Paper Inc. and contains 80% leftover straw and 20% Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified wood fibre. That's eighty per cent less forest fibre than traditional papers!

It's an excellent step forward in our campaign to kick-start the straw paper industry in North America.

The new paper picks up on the momentum and appetite we established with our straw paper book (Margaret Atwood) and magazine (Canadian Geographic) trials, and gives us all a chance to support a new straw paper industry that protects forests.

Step Forward is presently made at a facility in India. “Our goal is to establish a market that will support our plans to build a new state-of-the-art facility in the Canadian prairies, which will in turn enable us to produce this straw paper with an even smaller footprint,” says Golfman.
